Al Shux is a GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter from London, now based in Los Angeles. He is perhaps best known for his production work on Jay-Z's 2009 smash hit single, "Empire State of Mind", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks, sold over 10 million units in the US, and earned him a GRAMMY for Best Rap Song. Shux is also well-known for co-writing and co-producing Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "All the Stars" for the Black Panther soundtrack, which was nominated for multiple GRAMMY awards, a Golden Globe award, and an Oscar. Most recently, the song was performed by Kendrick Lamar at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Shux’s credits continue for miles. He co-produced Lana Del Rey’s “Young And Beautiful,” co-wrote & co-produced “Naked” by Doja Cat, and numerous other hits for artists including Khalid, Kali Uchis, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, Nas, Snoop Dogg, BANKS, Santigold, Kelela, La Roux, Plan B, Tinie Tempah, Hope Tala, and many more.
